Job Objective

The Activity Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities and events. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to create engaging experiences that cater to various interests and preferences.

Essential Job Tasks

Planning and Organization

 

1. Developing Activity Calendars: Creating monthly activity calendars that cater to diverse interests and needs.

2. Planning Events and Programs: Organizing special events, programs, and activities that increases guest engagement scores.

 

Program Implementation and Supervision

 

1. Leading Activity Sessions: Conducting activity sessions, such as arts and crafts, games, and exercise programs.

2. Supervising Activity Staff: Overseeing activity staff, volunteers, and contract employees to ensure effective program delivery.

3. Monitoring Program Participation: Tracking participation and evaluating program effectiveness.

 

Communication

 

1. Promoting Activities and Events: Advertising activities and events through various communication channels, including social media, unit driven newsletters, and posters.

 

Evaluation and Quality Improvement

 

1. Evaluating Program Effectiveness: Assessing program outcomes and participant satisfaction.

2. Identifying Areas for Improvement: Recognizing areas for quality improvement and implementing changes.

3. Maintaining Program Records: Keeping accurate records of program participation and feedback

 

Administration and Budgeting

 

1. Managing Activity Budgets: Overseeing activity budgets, resources, and supplies.

2. Purchasing Equipment and Supplies: Procuring necessary equipment and supplies for activities and events.

3. Maintaining Inventory: Keeping track of activity equipment, supplies, and materials.

Physical Demands: The role may involve physical activity, such as setting up equipment, leading outdoor activities, or assisting participants.

Promotional and revenue generating activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma, event planning, or a related field.

• Proven experience in activity planning, event management, or a similar role.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Creative problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite,opera).

• First aid and CPR certification may be required.
