Job Objective
The position exists to handle legal matters pertaining to various hotels & units under different laws; assist in conducting Due Diligence as well as Title Search for properties/new projects coming up in the region; assist in drafting the related documents such as contracts, Agreements, Deeds, SOPs, etc., to ensure compliance and protect the legal interests of the company within the limits of the legal and corporate framework.
Essential Job Tasks
• Collect and collate information/facts and terms agreed to for drafting of agreements.
• Analyze the said information and draft agreements/miscellaneous agreements.
• Prepare summary of due diligence (DD) report and submit for approval to supervisor.
• Upload and maintain the database for the department.
Areas of Responsibility
• Draft service occupancy agreements, power of attorneys.
• Handle guest complaints by analyzing and examining the complaint or issue at hand.
• Advise and escalate to the supervisor; prepare draft response/reply.
• Coordinate and interact with the user department/unit to assess the issue.
• Evaluate the pros and cons and prepare a reply accordingly.
• Advise and negotiate for the user department as well as for draft associate companies.
• Get the agreements vetted and ratified with the supervisor after discussing them and taking his input.
• Execute the agreement using proper legal documentation; follow up and monitor legally during its tenure.
• Monitor IP-related matters including filing applications to the trademark registry, copyright matters, etc.
• Conduct investigations in case of violations, draft cease and desist notices, routine correspondences, evidence by affidavits, etc.
• Draft and review suits in case of injunctions and cyber complaints.
Required Qualifications
Law Graduate
Work Experience
3-6 Years experience in Handling Civil & Criminal & Corporate Matters, including Trade Marks and Compliance issues
Languages Needed in Position
Proficiency in English Language
