Sales Coordinator - Hospitality Job Objectives

Support Revenue Growth
- Assist the sales team in achieving room, banquet, events, and ancillary revenue targets through effective coordination and administrative support.

- Ensure prompt handling of client inquiries, proposals, contracts, and follow-ups to deliver exceptional guest and customer service aligned with IHCL's hospitality standards.

Strengthen Client Relationships
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, event organizers, and key accounts through timely communication and coordination.

Sales Administration Excellence
- Manage sales reports, CRM updates, contracts, quotations, and booking documentation accurately and efficiently.

Reservation and Event Coordination
- Coordinate with Operations, Front Office, Reservations, Banquets, and F&B teams to ensure seamless execution of guest stays, meetings, and events.

Lead Management
- Track and follow up on sales leads, inquiries, and business opportunities to maximize conversion rates and customer retention.

Market Intelligence
- Assist in gathering competitor information, market trends, and customer feedback to support strategic sales initiatives.

Operational Efficiency
- Ensure accurate data management, timely reporting, and adherence to IHCL policies, procedures, and brand standards.

- Support customer loyalty initiatives and account management activities to increase repeat business and long-term partnerships.

- Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth communication and delivery of services, contributing to overall guest satisfaction and business success.
Essential Job Tasks
Areas of Responsibility
1. Banquet Business Coordination
- Manage banquet inquiries, proposals, contracts, and event confirmations.
- Coordinate with banquet operations, kitchen, and sales teams for successful event execution.
- Ensure timely follow-up on leads for weddings, conferences, meetings, and social events.
- Monitor banquet bookings and support revenue maximization initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of banquet events and client requirements.
2. Room Sales & Reservations Support
- Assist in generating room revenue through corporate, travel agent, and group bookings.
- Coordinate group reservations and rooming lists with the Reservations and Front Office teams.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of rate proposals and agreements.
- Support sales initiatives aimed at increasing room occupancy and ADR (Average Daily Rate).
- Track room pickup, cancellations, and forecasting reports.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and travel partners.
- Ensure prompt response to customer inquiries and requests.
- Address guest concerns and coordinate resolutions with relevant departments.
- Support customer retention and loyalty initiatives.
4. Sales Administration & Reporting
- Update CRM systems and maintain accurate sales records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Track business opportunities, conversions, and revenue performance.
- Ensure compliance with IHCL sales processes and documentation standards.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with Front Office, Reservations, Banquets, F&B, Finance, and Housekeeping teams.
- Ensure seamless communication for guest stays, events, and group movements.
- Coordinate pre-event and post-event requirements to enhance guest satisfaction.
Key Objective
Drive banquet and room revenue growth through efficient sales coordination, strong customer relationships, effective lead management, and seamless operational execution while delivering IHCL's signature hospitality experience.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management from a recognized institute.
- BBA (Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Business Administration) preferred.
- MBA in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or Business Administration will be an added advantage.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in hotel sales, banquet sales, reservations, or hospitality operations preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and hotel management software.
- Strong communication, customer service, coordination, and relationship management skills.
Preferred Competencies
- Knowledge of banquet sales, room sales, and revenue management.
- Negotiation and client servicing skills.
- Presentation and report preparation abilities.
- Understanding of hospitality industry standards and guest service excellence.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and manage event-related requirements.
Minimum Qualification: Hotel Management Graduate / BBA
Preferred Qualification: MBA (Sales/Marketing/Hospitality Management) with relevant hospitality experience.
Work Experience

Required Work Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Hospitality Sales, Banquet Sales, Room Sales, Reservations, Sales Coordination, or Customer Relationship Management within the hotel industry.
- Experience in handling banquet bookings, group reservations, corporate accounts, and customer inquiries will be preferred.
- Prior experience in luxury or upscale hotel brands will be an added advantage.
Experience Range: 1-3 Years
Industry Preference: Hotels, Hospitality, Resorts, Business Hotels, Luxury Hotels (IHCL/Taj preferred)
