Job Objective

• Responsible for transactions on alcohol, wines with restaurants, bars, and banquet catering.  
• Oversee cost management and inventory control.  
• Ensure adherence to all corporate bar, brewery, and wine cellar concepts.  
• Manage duty scheduling.  
• Handle all HR-related activities.  
• Maintain awareness of the yearly beverage calendar.  
• Implement and promote upselling techniques.  

Essential Job Tasks

Be present on the floor and back of the house to make sure what is agreed is running. At times be hands on

Areas of Responsibility

• Sign off on all casuals.  
• Ensure adherence to IHCL HACCP safety standards in all areas.  
• Participate in F&B meetings, staff meetings, and banquet meetings (if applicable).  
• Act as gatekeeper for training plan and execution.  
• Read and communicate actions from the daily bar log book.  
• Conduct daily walk-throughs in all outlets to ensure adherence to agreed standards and functional concepts.  
• Immediately rectify deviations and be hands-on if needed.  
• Conduct daily walk-throughs of the liquor store and wine cellar.  
• Plan and execute the beverage calendar and promotions throughout the year.  
• Maintain awareness of all discounting policies.  
• Stay informed on Dine@Taj and other corporate programs.  
• Oversee the execution of festivities and sign complementary checks.  
• Conduct skill and behavioural training for all department staff.  
• Plan the yearly holiday calendar.  
• Ensure all non-food ordering is stocked and checked.  
• Adhere to all POS SOPs.  
• Ensure all beverage menus are printed as per guidelines.  
• Coordinate all maintenance aspects.  
• Coordinate the agreed cleaning schedule with housekeeping.  
• Coordinate the agreed cleaning schedule for Lavazza coffee machines.  
• Ensure correct cashiering and cash flow.  
• Handle and communicate guest complaints.  
• Engage with L&D/outside providers for upselling techniques.  

Required Qualifications

 10+2 or Apprenticeship Certification
Diploma/Graduation certification

Work Experience

3 - 4 experience years.
Different establishments from 4 stars to 5 stars

Languages Needed in Position

Fluent in spoken and written English. 
If applicable local language appreciated.
