Job Objective

To provide warm, courteous, and efficient service to all guests, ensuring a memorable stay while upholding IHCL’s Tajness standards.

Essential Job Tasks

Guest Reception – Welcome guests warmly, assist with check‑in and check‑out procedures.

Guest Queries – Address guest requests, complaints, and provide information promptly.

Billing & Payments – Prepare invoices, process payments, and maintain financial accuracy.

Coordination – Liaise with housekeeping, F&B, and other departments for seamless service.

Record Maintenance – Update guest profiles, maintain confidentiality, and ensure system accuracy.

Promoting Services – Inform guests about hotel facilities, offers, and loyalty programs.

Compliance & Standards – Follow IHCL grooming, etiquette, and service protocols.

Shift Operations – Handle night audits, daily reports, and ensure smooth handovers.

 

Areas of Responsibility

  • Welcome and greet guests on arrival; assist with check‑in/check‑out procedures.

  • Handle guest queries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Manage reservations, room assignments, and billing processes using hotel software.

  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, F&B, and other departments for seamless guest experience.

  • Maintain accurate guest records and ensure confidentiality.

  • Promote hotel facilities and services to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.

  • Ensure adherence to IHCL standards of grooming, hygiene, and service etiquette.

Required Qualifications

Qualification: Hotel Management degree/diploma or Graduate.

Skills: Good communication in English and Other Language is additional Update, basic computer knowledge, guest‑oriented attitude.

Attributes: Pleasant personality, well‑groomed, team player, willing to work in shifts.

Work Experience

Experience : 1–2 years in a reputed branded hotel (luxury or upscale segment preferred). 

Languages Needed in Position

Primary: Good communication skills in English (spoken & written).

Secondary: Knowledge of regional language (Tamil) preferred for guest interaction.

Additional: Multilingual ability (Hindi or other Indian / Foriegn languages) will be an added advantage.
