Description: 
  • Primarily responsible for the smooth handling of all flights in his shifts. For this he has to co-ordinate with the Prep. Co-ordinator / Supervisors and also the flight supervisors, as also with the other feeder departments such as kitchen, washing, bond, transport etc.
  • Keep close contact with the airline requirements regarding changes in menus, equipment packing procedures, flight schedules and other flight related information, and make sure that the same is filtered down to the respective flight supervisors.
  • To monitor load increases on flights, so as to promptly send additional meals / equipment to the flight supervisor on the event of any increase on their flights.
  • Make sure that the section works according to the given deadlines and establish a system that secures the deviations and any delays are immediately brought to the attention of the respective duty managers.
  • To ensure that all HACCP procedures are adhered to, and all temperatures for the food dispatched recorded.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal and work hygiene. The prep. Department should always be kept neat and clean.
  • Organize training of new staff and constantly train all the sectional staff in order to improve performance.
  • Maintain adequate equipment inventory so as to have optimum usage of the airline equipment.
  • Investigate any complaints from customers / other departments and keep the respective duty managers informed about these complaints, findings, reasons and the action taken to prevent repeat in the future.

Organize section supervisors meetings and inform the duty manager about the same.
