Job Objective

To ensure that the site adheres to the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and quality assurance as specified by clients, regulatory agencies, and ISO standards. The role includes implementing and monitoring quality control measures, conducting site audits, and ensuring cross-functional coordination to uphold hygiene and food safety compliance.

Essential Job Tasks

  • Manage various audits and ensure compliance with their specific requirements.
  • Analyze microbiological reports and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely preparation of foreign object and microbial reports.
  • Oversee the site’s adherence to specified hygiene standards.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance department for upkeep of equipment.
  • Manage pest control and extermination activities.
  • Ensure standard specifications are implemented in the Receiving department.
  • Prepare and maintain cleaning schedules, detailing area and frequency.
  • Retain Hygiene Audit Reports and rectify discrepancies.
  • Monitor expenditures for cleaning supplies and chemicals.
  • Maintain temperature and processing records.
  • Monitor food, water, and ice cube quality.
  • Oversee swab tests of equipment, linen, and food handlers.
  • Verify CCP and OPRP activities per ISO standards.
  • Coordinate with HR for medical check reports of food handlers.
  • Follow up with Training and HR Managers for new employee training.
  • Liaise with site representatives to ensure ISO standard practices.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards in all operations.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control records, including CCP and OPRP verification.
  • Coordinate training programs related to hygiene and quality standards.
  • Ensure raw materials meet purchase specifications and HACCP norms.
  • Manage and oversee compliance with client-specific quality requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, or related field. Masters in related field preferred.
  • 2-3 of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in food production or catering.
  • Familiarity with HACCP and ISO standards

Work Experience

  • Prior experience in similar roles within the hospitality industry
  • Should have experience working in a Food Production, Food Manufactuting or Food Processing company. 

Languages Needed in Position

Should be fluent in both English and Hindi and preferably in Marathi.
