Job Objective

  • To provide highest level of service to the guests, that is safe, hygienic and creates the ambience to ensure guest satisfaction and organization profitability in an atmosphere of teamwork and high employee morale.
  • To create overall budget and plan for SPA services in line with corporate strategy and guidelines, manage efficient operations of SPA services with the objective of meeting guest satisfaction and drive sales of spa services with an aim to increase revenues.

Essential Job Tasks

Areas of Responsibility

Financial
•    Establish the Spa’s financial business plans for the year in liaison with the General Manager of the hotel and the Financial Controller concerning monthly revenue and expenditures. 
•    Ensure the department’s operational budget is in line and that all costs including staff payroll costs are strictly controlled without any compromise on brand and service standards.
•    Prepare budget, sales and marketing plan for spa operations based on analysis of previous year data, competitor data and customer feedback. 
•    Maintaining monthly reports (as per the corporate spa division directives) and tracking revenue, profit and loss.
•    Ensure Spa facilities are operating efficiently to achieve the highest possible revenue and profit.
Leadership
•    Maintain and preserve the Wellness & Holistic vision and mission.
•    Ability to manage cultural diversity within the team and with the guests.
•    Ensure all employees have a complete understanding and adherence to Spa policies and procedures.
•    Ensure all records and documents are maintained in safe custody.
•    Ensure all manuals handed over by corporate spa division should be readily available at all time for team to refer and should not be taken out of the hotel.
•    Ensure all employees adhere to the established standards of hygiene and grooming.
•    Conduct daily briefings and monthly operational meetings for entire team.
•    Mediate disputes and complaints amongst employees.
•    Assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by striving to maintain standards of excellence.
•    Mentor employees for professional growth.
•    Serve as a liaison between the management, staff and guests.
•    Ensure safety and security for guests as well your team.
•    Create and implement staff schedules.
•    Conduct employee evaluations for all direct reports, to review existing performance and identify any areas for further development and improvement.
•    Send manpower requirements to HR, conduct initial screening of candidates and share the interview assessment for approvals from corporate spa divsion in case of spa and salon candidates.
•    Monitor leaves, coordinate training requirements, and provide inputs for reward/recognition programs
 

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant certification in Wellness/ Beauty /Ayurveda sector
  • 05-06 years of experience
  • Knowledge on Spa therapies, holistic medicine, yoga, wellness & nutrition, fitness, beauty & salon services.  

Interpersonal & Networking Skills, People Management, Customer focus, Financial Acumen                     

Work Experience

  • Relevant certification in Wellness/ Beauty /Ayurveda sector
  • 05-06 years of experience
  • Knowledge on Spa therapies, holistic medicine, yoga, wellness & nutrition, fitness, beauty & salon services.

Languages Needed in Position

Should be fluent in both English, Hindi and preferably the Regional dialect.
