Description:
- Manage the daily operations of the reservations department, ensuring all reservations are entered and processed accurately in the system.
- Monitor room availability, rate codes, and inventory controls to optimize revenue and minimize overbooking situations.
- Respond promptly to reservation inquiries from guests, travel agents, and corporate clients, providing accurate and comprehensive information about room rates, packages, and hotel services.
- Liaise with the Front Office team to ensure a smooth guest experience, particularly for VIP arrivals, special requests, and room allocations.
- Coordinate with the sales and marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and ensure their accurate reflection in the reservation system.
- Analyze booking patterns and market trends to assist in forecasting and formulating pricing strategies.
- Ensure the team adheres to the standard operating procedures for handling reservations, including guest preferences, special requests, and billing details.
- Review daily arrivals and departures to identify VIP guests and special requirements, coordinating with other departments for seamless guest experiences.
- Train and mentor the reservations team, ensuring skill development and adherence to service standards.
- Prepare and maintain reports on reservation trends, occupancy forecasts, and revenue performance for management review.
- Handle escalations related to reservations, resolving issues efficiently to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with audit norms, corporate policies, and data security standards in the reservations process.
- Collaborate with the revenue management team to monitor and adjust rates and availability to maximize RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room).
- Contribute to departmental meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on reservation statistics and guest feedback.
- In addition to the core duties, perform other tasks assigned by the management that fall within the scope of the role.
