Job Objective
To lead and manage the Food & Beverage operations with excellence, ensuring guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and adherence to IHCL standards. The executive will foster innovation in dining experiences, maintain high service quality, and inspire the team with professionalism and inclusivity.
Essential Job Tasks

Operational Leadership: Oversee daily F&B operations across restaurants, bars, banquets, and in‑room dining.

Guest Experience: Ensure personalized service and memorable dining experiences aligned with IHCL’s “Tajness.”

Financial Management: Monitor budgets, control costs, and drive profitability through upselling and efficient resource use.

Team Development: Train, mentor, and motivate associates, with emphasis on diversity and equal opportunity.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and statutory regulations.

Innovation: Introduce new menus, concepts, and sustainable practices to enhance guest engagement.

Coordination: Collaborate with culinary, housekeeping, and front office teams for seamless service delivery.
Areas of Responsibility
Operational Oversight

Assist the F&B Manager in supervising daily operations across restaurants, bars, banquets, and in‑room dining.

Ensure smooth coordination between service and culinary teams for consistent guest experiences.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence

Monitor service standards and guest feedback, ensuring IHCL’s “Tajness” is reflected in every interaction.

Handle VIP guests and special requests with discretion and professionalism.
Team Leadership & Development

Act as the immediate leader in the absence of the F&B Manager.

Mentor associates, promote inclusivity, and encourage female leadership within the department.

Support training initiatives and performance evaluations.
Financial & Resource Management

Assist in monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue opportunities.

Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor coordination.
Compliance & Safety
-
Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and statutory regulations.

Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to maintain IHCL standards.
Innovation & Sustainability

Support menu engineering, promotional activities, and eco‑friendly practices.

Contribute ideas for new concepts and guest engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Culinary Arts..

Additional training in leadership or revenue management preferred.
Work Experience
-
5–7 years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in luxury hotels.

Proven track record of managing large teams and high‑volume outlets.

Experience in banquet operations and fine dining service.
Languages Needed in Position
-
English – mandatory for guest and business communication.

Tamil / Hindi – preferred for local associate and guest interactions.

Knowledge of additional foreign languages (French, German, Japanese) is an advantage.
