Job Objective

 

As an F&B Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to guests in our food and beverage department. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and drinks, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. Essential Job Tasks

  • Take and serve food and beverage orders promptly and courteously
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of work areas and equipment
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns effectively and professionally
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve service excellence

Areas of Responsibility

Restaurant Operations

  • Prepare dining area before service (mise en place, table setup, station readiness).

  • Greet and seat guests, present menus, and take orders efficiently.

  • Coordinate with kitchen and stewarding for timely service and cleanliness.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction and handle feedback proactively.

  • Maintain ambient standards (lighting, music, temperature, cleanliness).

In-Room Dining (IRD)

  • Review daily room service orders and prepare trays/trolleys accordingly.

  • Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms promptly and discreetly.

  • Ensure accurate billing and signature collection as per SOP.

  • Retrieve trays post-service and maintain corridor cleanliness.

  • Follow guest privacy protocols and safety procedures during delivery.

Banquet & Event Service

  • Assist in setup and teardown of banquet halls (tables, linen, AV, décor).

  • Serve food and beverages during events (buffet, plated, cocktail service).

  • Coordinate with banquet kitchen and stewarding for smooth flow.

  • Support event host and ensure guest satisfaction throughout.

  • Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and report shortages.

Required Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Preferred: Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Culinary Arts

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills in English; Tamil or Hindi is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of food service etiquette and hygiene standards

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in fast-paced environments

  • Guest-centric attitude with a warm and professional demeanor

  • Willingness to learn and adapt across multiple outlets (Restaurant, IRD, Banquets)

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)

  • Food Safety & Hygiene (FSSAI / HACCP awareness)

  • First Aid or Fire Safety Training

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (if applicable to outlet)

 

Work Experience

Experience

  • above 1 year experience in hotel, resort, or fine dining setup preferred

  • Exposure to banquet service, room service, or multi-cuisine restaurants is an advantage

Languages Needed in Position

Regional Language

English Fluency is Valid any other International Language is additional Preferred.
